Composer, Conductor, Music Producer, Founder of “Berberyan Production Studios”
Andranik Berberyan was born on August 15, 1994, in Yerevan, Armenia. As a composer and music producer, he is renowned for his works in the music and film industries. Berberyan comes from a family of musicians. From 2001 to 2008, he began his musical education at the Sayat-Nova Music School, specializing in violin. He continued his studies at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, where, in 2016, he earned two bachelor's degrees—one in Composition (under the guidance of Aram Satyan) and the other in Symphonic and Opera Conducting (under Ruben Asatryan). In 2018, Berberyan received his master's degree in Composition.
Berberyan's versatility in musical genres has enabled him to collaborate with prominent Armenian orchestras and ensembles, including the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, the Harutyunyan Woodwind Quartet, the Yerevan String Quartet, and others. He has participated in various projects and recorded numerous film scores.
In 2016, he co-founded the "QuarterTone" NGO, aiming to develop and promote contemporary Armenian academic music.
In 2017, he founded "Symbolium Inc.," a music education startup in Silicon Valley's tech industry, serving as its CEO and founder.
In 2021, he established "Berberyan Production Studios" in Armenia, with the goal of creating a comprehensive center for music and sound production.
As a composer, Berberyan has written music for films such as The Silence of the Master, Roots, Life and Struggle (2016, 2017), Erken Kisher (Nightfall), Kafka’s Dream, Songs of Solomon, The American, Yasha and Leonid Brezhnev, The Other Side of the Medal, and more. Additionally, he has composed works for major international events, including the 2023 European Weightlifting Championship, the 2024 EBRD Annual Meeting Concert, and Armenia’s showcase at Expo 2020 Dubai.
In 2022, he won the Anahit Award for Best Film Music for his score in Songs of Solomon.
In 2024, he received the Anahit Award for Best Film Music again, this time for The American. That same year, his composition The Photosynthesis of Love, written for a short film, won the Golden Soundtrack and Golden Overall Soundtrack awards at the international Golden Short Film Festival.
Since 2024, he has been a member of the board of the Armenian National Music Academy.
