Avet Barseghyan

TV and Radio Host, Showman, Lyricist, Poet, Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia

 

Avet Barseghyan was born on July 23, 1980, in Yerevan. He graduated from the Faculty of History and Law at Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University and the Broadcasting Department of the School-Studio affiliated with the  Armenian State Song Theatre. Avet Barseghyan is the author of lyrics for numerous Armenian songs.

 

He is a well-known TV and Radio host. His career began in 2001, and he hosted many prestigious projects, including Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011Who Wants to Be a MillionaireArmenian SuperstarUltraDarkBenefisDelicious DuelGuess The TuneArmenia JanThe Excellent StudentYou Know it, and others.

 

Avet Barseghyan has received numerous awards and titles. In 2003, he was awarded the title of "Radio Host of the Year", in 2004, "TV Host of the Year", and in 2016, the "Honored Cultural Worker of Armenia".

 

Since 2024, he has been a member of the Board of the Armenian National Music Academy.
